Standards compliance and validation

Our website is substantially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

We have, however, identified a small number of instances where this is not the case due to justified technical or practical reasons. These exemptions are listed below:

• Insufficient color contrast between text and background (in a small number of components), meaning certain words might be difficult to read
• Incorrect heading order due to initial page set-up, meaning screen readers may not follow the order the text that appears on the screen
• Some decorative images may include an alt tag as we use a central library for images
• some older PDFs may have a title missing
• content provided via 3rd parties
